Following the decline of COVID-19 and mpox cases, Q-Code registration will no longer be required to enter Korea, effective July 15, 2023. According to the new screening procedures, entrants to Korea will undergo a simple temperature check unless they are coming in from a designated quarantine inspection required area.
Quarantine inspection required areas include but are not limited to countries with outbreaks of Ebola virus (the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, etc.), cross-species virus transmission (Cambodia, China, etc.), and MERS (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, etc.). Travelers entering Korea from quarantine inspection required areas still need to to register for Q-Code in advance.
